Project #3

06Jan08

I made my first amigurumi from あみぐるみでゆるり by Sachiyo Fukao, ISBN9784056048803. My friend Keith lives in Japan now, and brought back this book for me for Xmas. It’s awesome.

Details are on my Ravelry page. I can’t read Japanese, so I had to improvise on just about … everything. What kind of yarn to use, what size hook, how to close it up, etc. He looks more like an octopus than a squid, but he’s still way cute.

Here is an amigurumi bear from a pattern in Kyuuto! Japanese Crafts: Amigurumi:

I like to use knitting and crocheting to procrastinate the completion of other tasks. Like writing reviews or doing editing.

Why 33? It seemed like a good number. It’s also a Scrubs reference … if you can name where that number is from on Scrubs I’ll give you a cookie!

Here is project #1:

More details can be found on Ravelry.

Here’s to a productive 2008!

Grandpa & Sue sent me a $50 gift card to Joann Fabrics for Xmas. So. Here is one thing I got. Isn’t he cute? I think I’ll name him Sampson.
